Join the international Networking events for European scriptwriters
March 30 and more to follow over the year
Everyday business for producers – new ground for a lot of scriptwriters: international cooperation. The MEDIA programme of the European Union has started a new initiative called „Writing European“ to strengthen the work of writers across national and linguistic borders.
The Creative Europe Desks, ambassadors of the MEDIA programme, are therefore happy to invite you to a new initiative to support authors in raising their national careers to an international level by building a network of international scriptwriters.
We are organising two online events this year, which offer input from international experts.
A third event will be a face-to-face meeting of a selection of international writers in September during the Venice Film Festival or another international venue (tbc).
Additionally we will arrange online networking meetings with authors from different countries.
We are also organising physical meetings for a regional exchange. (take it out if you don’t or explain further)
Invitation
March 30, 11 to 12 pm online
Programme
Tony Grisoni, head of studies at Series Lab Talents (Torino Film Lab), who has worked with Michael Winterbottom and John Boorman, will give a keynote on the spirit of European co-writing.

Background information:
The call „Writing European" has been published by the European Commission with the following aim: "to strengthen the capacity of the European audiovisual industry to create cutting edge fiction series that can attract audiences across borders, and to nurture a community of European talents able to work across national and linguistic borders. It should enable European companies to scale up their collaboration and to offer talents continuous opportunities in Europe throughout their career."
Our initiative serves to implement the goals of the EU, to give impulses to creative people on a regional level and to offer stronger networking.
